About the Client

Gosnell Menard & Brooks, a certified public accounting firm, provides audit, tax, accounting, management consulting, and merger and acquisition services to a diverse client base including retail, manufacturing, service industries, and non-profit organizations. The firm, organized in 1986, presently has five CPA’s and support staff. The firm serves more than 500 clients and client firms throughout South Carolina and North Carolina

The Challenge

The client was using another consulting firm in Spartanburg, SC. Their biggest problem was response time and the concern of having costly downtime as a result of the slow response time. Their staff is pretty computer savvy and have very little needs with the exception of server related issues. In their business they have to be somewhat knowledgeable on computer technology. So their biggest concern is having someone that can get to them in a timely manner, whether it will be phone, remote, or onsite.

The Solution

Because of their internal experience and only needing someone for support on their server, RTS suggested that they go with our Level 1 on their computers and server just so we can get to them in the event of an emergency in the quickest method possible with all of our tools available at our finger tips to quickly resolve their issue. Considering that 95% of technical problems can be resolved via remote support with the correct tools in place. We felt that this would be the most cost effective way to support them and make sure we can resolve any issues in the quickest possible way. This will cut out expensive onsite visits, and keep downtime to a very minimum instead of waiting on an engineer to come onsite.

Result

Onsite visits have been cut down drastically, they know that support is just a phone call away and most of their problems can be fixed remotely saving them from onsite charges.
